Projects Safe Routes to School, Whitmore Corridor

On our team’s recommendation, the City of Ceres funded an effort with Ceres Partnership for Healthy Children (CPHC) in 2015 to facilitate a community forum allowing families to voice their concerns about safety deficiencies for students along the 0.85-mile Whitmore Corridor.

The results of the community forum and public outreach reflected the immediacy and severity of needs for infrastructure improvements which helped in the creation of a compelling grant application. The City successfully received competitive ATP funds from the State for this $1.8M project which began construction in Spring of 2020.
