Projects North College Avenue Corridor Improvements

Our team at Interwest contributed to this very high profile and constrained project which addressed improvements to the ‘Northern Gateway’ of the City of Fort Collins.

This project included multiple challenges like significant access control definition and consolidation, as well as improving safety for motorists, pedestrians, cyclists and transit users, utility coordination, and incorporating urban design and landscape features. Comprehensive and detailed phasing and traffic control plans were essential, as was extensive communication with the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT), project stakeholders, and affected business and property owners along the half-mile corridor.
