Resources and News Interwest Team selected to help the City of Oxnard with a $3.5M grant application

The Interwest team was recently selected to assist the City of Oxnard, CA with preparing a grant application for the Ventura County Transportation Commission (VCTC) 2022 Call for Projects. The proposed project is called “The City of Oxnard Accessible Pedestrian Enhancements Project” that will improve pedestrian safety at 17 intersections with upgrades including ADA accessible curb ramps, accessible pedestrian signals, shortened pedestrian crossing distances, high visibility crosswalks with advance limit lines, and leading pedestrian intervals.

The application effort was led by Seth Jenison, Traffic Engineer, and included selecting project locations, preparing preliminary design exhibits, and estimating total project costs. The $3.5 million application was ranked the highest out of all applicants with a score of 83, while the second highest application received a score of 74. We’re extremely proud to help bring such an exciting project to the City of Oxnard and enhance their reputation throughout the entire County of Ventura and even more proud of Seth for his amazing work.
