With more than 30 years of experience in the civil engineering field, Theron has extensive knowledge of transportation infrastructure design and managing large, diverse staffs comprised of engineers, landscape architects, and technicians. He is skilled at obtaining governmental approvals, anticipating construction issues, administering design policies and procedures, determining resources required for projects, and selecting and training employees. Over his career, he has been involved in the delivery of over 180 lane miles of roadway improvements, 37 traffic signals, eight freeway interchange modifications, railroad crossings, and 17 bridges – and counting!
In his tenure with Interwest, Theron has enjoyed the opportunity to participate in meaningful work for public agencies with a team of highly-experienced professionals, one of whom always has the insight or experience to assist with any challenge his clients have encountered. He has also appreciated the opportunity to work closely with client cities and become a trusted part of their leadership team.
Outside of the office, Theron likes to play golf, cook, and enjoy natural scenery in places like Yosemite.
